ELLENSBURG, WA – May 19, 2022 - The countdown to our summer events begin! We are looking forward to the many events happening across Kittitas County this summer including our annual events such as Pioneer Days, Independence Day Celebration, first ever Lemonade Day and Kruisin’ Kittitas Car Show and Burnouts.
Pioneer Days Parade is an annual tradition in Cle Elum which happens every year on the 4th of July weekend. Partnered with the Cle Elum Downtown Association, Saturday kicks off the weekend with the Pioneer Days Parade which starts at 10:00 a.m running west on 1st Street between Peoh and Pennsylvania Avenue. Those wanting to participate in the Pioneer Days Parade can fill out the application on our website. Visit the downtown area for many other events happening on this day following the parade.
The Independence Day Celebration is taking place at Memorial Park in South Cle Elum on July 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m - 11:00 p.m. The festivities will include a kid zone with local vendors, activities and a bounce house. Attendees can also expect food trucks and a beer garden with an assortment of beverages, with rotating music and entertainment throughout the day. The event will wrap up with the annual Fireworks Show at 10 p.m. Those wanting to be a vendor at the Independence Day Celebration can sign up on our website.
Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand. Each year, in participating cities, youth have the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship by setting up their business during their city's community-wide Lemonade Day. Registration is open starting on Monday, June 13, 2022 and runs through the summer for students in Kindergarten - 5th Grade across Kittitas County. On August 20, 2022, participants will showcase their Lemonade Day stands throughout county-wide.
Kruisin’ Kittitas Car Show and Burnouts is coming back to Downtown Kittitas on August 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. This Saturday, visit downtown for a parade filled with classic cars, watch burnouts on Main Street, have your kids participate in the Kids Cardboard Car Show, shop at our local market vendors, and so much more. Each of these events are free to the public and children with the exception of all food vendors, beer gardens and registrations for the car show and burnout event.
