Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and Central Washington Outdoor Host Outdoors For All Media Tour
ELLENSBURG, WA - July 22, 2021 - The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and Central Washington Outdoor received a grant from the Port of Seattle to host an Outdoors For All Media Tour.
The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and its tourism campaign, Central Washington Outdoor hosted 6 BIPOC outdoor recreation creators in Kittitas County on May 27 and 28 to show those who attended what Kittitas County has to offer.
“By conducting a first-ever Central Washington Outdoors For All Media Tour, we were able to focus on recreation and our diverse history,” said Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Director of Tourism and Events Madison Ford. “These funds helped us expand our current marketing efforts to help create awareness for travelers who may have not heard of the Central Washington area, and punctuate that Central Washington is a safe place for everyone to explore.”
Those who attended the Outdoors For All Media Tour were able to stay at Hotel Windrow, dine at local restaurants, tour the Kittitas County Historical Museum, Downtown Roslyn Walking Tour and the Coal Mines Trail, and shop in local businesses.
